Preliminary Justification : In Myanmar, 70% of total population is living in rural area (Census, 2014). Most of rural population is getting primary health care services at rural health centers that are being served by Health Assistants as a leader. Problem of human resources for health is one of the major challenges faced by currently Myanmar health system. To achieve Universal Health Coverage by 2030, better integration and institutionalization of in-service training will be needed in terms of skills and competencies to deliver the Basic Essential Package of Health Services according to their respective roles and responsibilities. It is necessary to triangulate the ways to improve condensed health assistant training course from four perspectives, namely (i) current condensed health assistant training course students (ii) certified condensed health assistant (iii) teaching faculty members of university of community health and (iv) health administrators of selected states and regions. So, condensed health assistant training will be assessed for better quality training course on the pathway to Universal Health Coverage.
 
Preliminary Aim : The expected outcome is that we will know strengths and weakness of teaching learning materials and methods of training course and the various perceptions on training course by candidates.
 
Preliminary Objectives : General objective To find out ways to improve condensed health assistant training course from different perspectives at University of Community Health, Magway Specific Objectives a. To find out strengths and weakness of teaching learning approach used in condensed health assistant training course b. To explore challenges of condensed health assistant training course c. To explore different perceptions to improve condensed health assistant training course among participants
 
Preliminary Sample Size : There are four groups of study population; 1. Current condensed health assistant training students 2. Certified condensed health assistants 3. Teaching faculty members of University of Community Health 4. Health administrators of selected bedside hospital and States and Regionssample size: For quantitative study - All candidates of current condensed health assistant training course who are willing to participate For qualitative study (1) A total of 14 faculty members from University of Community Health for in-depth interview (2) A total of 8 certified condensed health assistant from selected states and regions for in-depth interview (3) A total of 4 health administrators from selected states and regions for key informant interview (4) One medical super-intendant or assistant medical super-intendant from selected bedside hospital for key informant interview
