Preliminary Justification : Unhealthy diet including prepackaged food consumption is one the risk factor of NCDs which is responsible for 70% of deaths worldwide. Proper awareness and practice of food labels usage can reduce the untoward health effect of consumption prepackaged food.Myanmar is a relatively a young country with more than half of the population younger than 30 and adolescent age group occupies the largest population comparing with other age group. Adolescents population (10-19 years) group including school going age is the age group that consumed prepackaged food mostly. Adolescent is the best time to establish healthy nutrition habit as they will become the future productive and healthy men and women those can build again healthy habits and diets for their next generations. Yangon as the main site where domestic prepackaged food factories are located. Also it is the main trade zone with all kinds of transportation present for example airlines transport, shipping and by trucks. Also malls, 24 hour marts, convenient stores and supermarkets are crowded in Yangon region People living in Yangon are easily accessible to prepackaged food both local product and imported product comparing with people living in other states and regions. The labeling guideline on prepackaged food products is in progress and will soon be introduced by the department of Food and Drug Administration, Myanmar. The informations get from this will provide needed information in building guideline or in further upgrading of the guideline. In Myanmar, there is limited study concerned with the use of food label information in prepackaged food in adolescent population although many international researchers made a lot of studies on it.
 
Preliminary Aim : to study the use of food label information in pre-packaged food among high school students in Mingalardone Township, Yangon Region.
 
Preliminary Objectives : 1. To assess the knowledge and attitude of high school students concerning with food labelling in prepackaged food 2. To assess the use of food label information among high school students in choosing prepackaged food 3. To determine the associated factors of food labelling usage in prepackaged food among high school students.
